About Us

Our Vision

To create a carer led service by placing carers at the heart of the organisation and ensuring the services are effective and accessable to all carers regardless of location (rural or urban), personal circumstances or their caring situation.

What is a carer?

A carer is someone who provides support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems. Carers may even be juggling paid work with their unpaid caring responsibilities at home.

How you can help

Volunteer

Across the charity, there is a wide range of volunteering oportunities available, from serving customers at our shop in Kilmarnock, to helping run our office in Dalmellington. Whatever your skills, we can find a place where your contribution will help us to support the carers of East Ayrshire.
